Los Angeles: 'Mr Robot' star Christian Slater has filed a motion to get his father Thomas Knight Slater's defamation lawsuit dismissed, claiming he suffers from manic depression schizophrenia.

Slater said his mother told him about his father's diagnosis and how Thomas was taken to Bellevue Hospital in a straitjacket in 1972 after threatening to kill her and Christian, reported TMZ.
