'The Simpsons' will address debate over Apu Nahasapeemapetilon

Hit TV show The Simpsons producers are definitely going to address the controversy over Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, said actor Hank Azaria, the voice behind the character. At the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California, Azaria said he was aware of the concerns raised by comedian Hari Kondabolu in his documentary The Problem with Apu, which argues that the character, a convenience store owner, perpetuates negative stereotypes, reports variety.com.
