Barrymore, 41, and Kopelman, 39, have reportedly left the divorce petition uncontested in the court documents that are being processed, reported a website. The couple, who started dating back in 2011, shares 3-year-old daughters Olive and 2-year-old Frankie together.
In April, Barrymore and Kopelman announced their split via joint statement. “Sadly, our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family,” they said. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on,” reads the statement.
The statement also mentioned that kids would remain their first priority for “the rest of our lives”.
