A candid chat with 'RoboCop' production designer Martin Whist

<p>RoboCop, the remake of 1987's cult classic, releases in India on Valentine's Day. The film, set in 2028, revolves around robotic technology and the automobiles used in the film are mindblowing. In an exclusive interview, Martin Whist, production designer of the film, tells SUNDAY MiD DAY about the exciting journey of ‘designing’ the movie and what goes into making futuristic automobiles</p>

For those of us who don’t work in the film industry, what does a production designer do?
Let’s just say if the actors were to drop their props and walk out of the frame, everything left would be the production designer’s job. I am responsible for the look of the movie.
