London: Actress Angelina Jolie has given her&nbsp;new husband Brad Pitt a rare watch worth nearly 2 million&nbsp;pounds.

The 39-year-old actress's romantic gesture came to light&nbsp;after the 1952 Patek Philippe platinum chronometer was taken&nbsp;to a small shop by a friend to be inscribed with the words 'To&nbsp;Roly from Nessa', reported Daily Mirror.
They are characters the newlyweds play in the film 'By&nbsp;The Sea', which they are currently making in Malta.&nbsp;
George Farrugia, 57, who runs Dolindo Jewellers on the&nbsp;neighbouring island of Gozo, said, "I did inscribe the watch,&nbsp;it was for Brad and it was a rare one. Oh yes, it was very&nbsp;valuable.
"I wasn't nervous about the inscription because I knew I&nbsp;could do the work perfectly."
Brad&nbsp;Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who wed last month after nine years&nbsp;together, are keeping out of the limelight during the project&nbsp;although they have taken their children &iquest; Maddox, Pax, Zahara,&nbsp;Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox bowling in Gozo.
