BAFTA 2024 schedule!

The BAFTA Awards 2024 are happening soon, and it's going to be a glamorous night with celebrities eagerly awaiting the Golden Masked Awards. Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer has the most nominations this year. The award ceremony will be hosted by David Tennant, known for his role in Doctor Who, at London's Royal Festival Hall.

If you're in the United Kingdom, you can watch the live stream on BBC One from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 18. For viewers outside the UK, the award show will be available on BritBox International. Unlike previous years, the big four categories won't be streamed live but will be included in a two-hour delayed broadcast during the three-hour show.

The award stream will follow the red carpet event, with presenters Clara Amfo, Alex Zane, and Zainab Jiwa. If you want updates on the pre-awards buzz, check out BAFTA Awards' social media handles.

Nominations for BAFTA 2024 were announced a month ago, and Oppenheimer leads with 13 nominations, followed by Poor Things with 11. Killers of the Flower Moon and The Holdovers also have good chances. BAFTA will honor a rising star, and this year, Ayo Edibiri and Jacob Elordi are potential candidates. Everyone is excited for a night of celebrating outstanding films.

David Tennant is set to host the BAFTA 2024, and he expressed his excitement about the opportunity in an interview with Variety. He mentioned feeling a bit bewildered but thrilled to be part of the event. Tennant sees it as one of those experiences you say "yes" to because it would be churlish not to, considering it's such an amazing and privileged opportunity.

Tennant will follow last year's presenters, Richard E. Grant and Alison Hammond, who graced the stage.

Regarding the changes to the broadcast schedule, BAFTA director Emma Baehr spoke to Variety about the decision to modify the show's structure. She mentioned that every year they assess the show differently and experiment with various formats. Last year, they went live, but this year they've decided against it. Baehr explained that while it was a good experience at the time, it didn't add anything more than what was needed, prompting them to make adjustments for the upcoming event.
