BTS performs ‘Permission to Dance', Coldplay croons ‘My Universe’ at Global Citizen Live

Over 60 global superstars including BTS, Coldplay, Jennifer Lopez, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish and Elton John were among the artistes who took to stage to perform at the Global Citizen Live. The event is a 24-hour concert to raise awareness about issues like climate change, poverty etc, with global superstars performing from different cities across the world.

The concert kickstarted with Elton John performing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Saturday. This was followed by K-pop stars BTS performing their hits ‘Permission to Dance’ and ‘Butter,’ with Priyanka Chopra introducing the act from Paris. Coldplay crooned their collaboration with BTS, ‘My Universe’ from New York, while Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello joined Coldplay in their act. Shawn and Camilla also had the crowd grooving to their hit ‘Senorita.’

Jennifer Lopez who has been hitting the headlines for her romance with beau Ben Affleck, rocked the stage with ‘If you had my love’ and ‘Love don’t cost a thing’, getting LL Cool J and J Rule to join her for ‘All I have’ and ‘Ain’t it funny.’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined in to speak about the Covid-19 vaccine and global distribution of the same.
