London: Actress Cameron Diaz was missing something before she and rocker Benji Madden tied the knot.

The 'Mask' star wed the 'Good Charlotte' star in January last year and after 14 months as a married woman, the 43-year-old has opened up about how her life has changed, reported Daily Telegraph.
"(I discovered) a part of myself that I never knew existed," she told Britain's You magazine. "I understand that something builds deep within you.
"We've learnt so much about ourselves in our first year, about the commitment involved, which is the cornerstone of everything. It's not something that I thought would be different, but now I get it. Apparently I was missing something."
The couple wed just 17 days after the 37-year-old guitarist proposed, following seven months of dating, and the big day came as a shock to many, as Diaz had previously described marriage as a "dying institution".
