The actor tied the knot with his ladylove Alba Baptista in 2023, and the two have maintained secrecy around their lives. As per a latest social media post, Chris and Alba are expecting their first child, and the hint was dropped by the latter’s father.

The pregnancy rumours began circulating after a fan club posted a Father’s Day tribute and tagged Baptista’s father, Luiz Baptista, and Evans’ father, Bob Evans. Replying to the post, Luiz seemingly made a casual remark, “Your turn is coming,” which many interpreted as a subtle hint that the couple may just be gearing up to welcome their first child together. However, neither Chris Evans nor Alba Baptista has made any announcement confirming a pregnancy. To note, Chris has several times expressed a desire to embrace fatherhood and start a family.

Chris was last seen in Materialists, and the movie garnered rave reviews from across the world. During a chat at one of the screenings, he opened up about how he proposed to the Warrior Nun actress. He shared, “Maybe I shouldn’t even be saying this. I proposed to my now-wife in Portuguese—she’s Portuguese. So I learned how to say, ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. And I had practiced all week.”
Recalling how he almost “let the cat out of the bag,” the former Avengers actor said, “I had practiced it so much that, while her and I, I’d be making breakfast, and you almost just start saying it out loud and you’re like, ‘Oh God.’ That’s not just a song that’s stuck in my head."
The pair have been publicly linked since November 2022, but had reportedly already been dating for a year. In 2023, news broke that they had married in a private ceremony in Cape Cod.
On the work front, Chris last starred in Materialists with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal. The film has been praised for its introspective take on modern romance and released in theatres on June 13.
