The two got engaged in June 2014, after dating for six months, with McDaid proposing with the help of Cox's daughter Coco.

The couple was last seen indulging in public display of affection in September. On Twitter, the Cougar Town star shared a photograph in which they are seen embracing
each other.

Buzz suggests that the couple's relationship was put under strain by different approaches to fame, with Cox preferring to go out with friends while McDaid liked to avoid publicity.

A source said that the couple was going to counselling because they were having issues and fighting a lot, about everything.

It would have been the first marriage for McDaid and the second for Cox.

The actress was previously married to actor David Arquette. They divorced in 2013.

Meanwhile, Cox, dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a loose T-shirt, was spotted having replaced her engagement ring with a gold band.
