Washington: Ellen DeGeneres has said that she is hosting the Academy Awards as it&rsquo;s a very challenging thing to do.

The 56-year-old talk show host said that she wanted to challenge herself as she is very comfortable right now and it&rsquo;s not good to be comfortable as a performer.
DeGeneres said that creatively she needs to push herself, asserting that Oscars is pretty much the scariest thing one can do. She also compared hosting the show with bungee jumping.
