Former One Direction star Zayn Malik took to Instagram yesterday to share a video of himself rendering singer Kailash Kher's iconic number, Teri Deewani. The post bagged over five lakh likes hours after the English singer-songwriter shared it. Kher tells mid-day, "I was pleased to hear Zayn's version of my song. It was a good attempt. Teri Deewani inspires many people around the world. A few years ago, a friend sent me a link of renowned African musician Richard Bona performing the song during his show in Japan. It feels great when your work inspires people globally."
