Rickman, 65, who has received rave reviews for his latest theatrical role as an international literary great-turned-teacher, will leave the show after a final performance on April 1, Daily Express reported.

Goldblum, 59, will take over from April 3 for an eight-week engagement. He last appeared on Broadway in "The Pillowman" in 2005.

He has wowed theatre critics and fans in London in recent years, starring opposite Kevin Spacey in The Old Vic productions "Speed-the-Plow" and "The Prisoner of Second Avenue".
