Pop sensation Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have officially confirmed months of romance rumours with cosy pics from their Japan visit. They are rumoured to be dating for quite a few months, after they were captured kissing and cuddling during an outing. While they remained tight-lipped for months, her picture has sent fans into a frenzy.

The pop star, 41, shared an Instagram post on Saturday, Dec. 6, featuring intimate photos and videos from a visit to Japan that included the former Canadian prime minister, 53. In one image, Perry and Trudeau cosied up, posing cheek to cheek for an outdoor selfie. A video in the carousel showed the couple eating together and lovingly gazing at each other. In the caption, Perry wrote, “Tokyo times on tour and more (sic).”

Two days before Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau had taken to his X handle (formerly Twitter) and shared a photo of him and the singer along with the former Japanese Prime Minister. As soon as Katy Perry shared cutesy photos with Justin Trudeau from her Tokyo trip, a lot of fans flooded the comment section. The pair first sparked dating rumours in July, when they were seen having an intimate dinner at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal. In October, the pair was seen kissing and cuddling each other on a yacht. Trudeau also attended Katy Perry's sold-out Lifetimes tour stop in Canada. According to earlier reports, sources close to the duo said they were “in the very early stages of exploring a romance.” One source told The Daily Mail, “Katy is very, very interested in him. She says he’s a real catch, a high-quality guy. She clearly likes him a lot. He likes her a lot.”
Perry ended her engagement with actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025 after seven years together and six years of engagement. They share a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau and Sophie Gregoire were married from 2005 to 2023 and share three kids, including Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11. He stepped down as Prime Minister of Canada in January 2025 and has since kept a low profile.
