Los Angeles: Actress Lindsay Lohan has been released from hospital in London after being treated for Chikungunya, a rare mosquito-borne illness.

The 28-year-old 'Mean Girls' actress, who was diagnosed with the virus last month, was admitted to King Edward VII's Hospital this week because she was suffering from unbearable joint pain and a high fever, reported TMZ.
