Now she will contribute a series of &ldquo;special projects and primetime reports&rdquo; to NBC News, CNBC, MSNBC and NBC Sports, the network announced Tuesday. She has also been named editor-at-large for stories on women across NBC&rsquo;s digital properties. u00a0With Tuesday&rsquo;s announcement, she becomes one of the first high-level broadcast news journalists assigned specifically to report on women&rsquo;s issues. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve always believed that television can inspire and elevate humanity, and that&rsquo;s my mission with this new partnership,&rdquo; she said in a statement.

Maria Shriver is returning as a "special anchor" for first time since ex-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected California governor in 2004.
