Conrad Murray, who is serving four-year jail term for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, has been banned from practicing medicine in Texas.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Texas Medical Board (TMB) suspended Murray's medical license on Friday.

A board spokeswoman said the suspension "achieves the same effect as license revocation," the New York Post reported.
