Actress Natalie Portman says she regrets signing a Hollywood petition demanding the release of French-Polish film director Roman Polanski from Swiss custody. Nine years after signing the petition, she has expressed regret for supporting the filmmaker, who pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor in 1977. "I very much regret it. I take responsibility for not thinking about it enough. Someone I respected gave it to me, and said, 'I signed this. Will you, too?' And I was like, 'Sure'," Portman said in an interview with Buzzfeed News on Tuesday, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
