Ellen DeGeneres&rsquo; record-breaking star-studded Oscar selfie that broke Twitter on Sunday night is now truly the &lsquo;greatest selfie of all time&rsquo; as it was dubbed but for more reasons than one.

The photo, which included such Hollywood stars as Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Meryl Streep, crashed Twitter and currently has more than 3 million retweets the most ever.
And the manufacturer of the phone used to take the selfie has returned the favour by offering to donate $1 for every retweet of the photo, a total of $3 million, to charities of DeGeneres&rsquo; choice, she announced on her show on Monday. She has decided to give half to St Jude Children&rsquo;s Research Hospital and half to the Humane Society of the United States.
&ldquo;You can just see how relaxed and happy everybody is at the Oscars, which is the most tense, usually the most uptight [event],&rdquo; DeGeneres noted on her show on Monday of the buzzed-about photo.
