Oscars 2022: Wanda Sykes talks about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appearing

Sykes also made clear that, while she didn't feel it was useful for Zelensky to appear at the Oscars, she personally admires Zelensky and the rest of the Ukrainian people resisting the current Russian invasion

Before the Oscars, Amy Schumer made headlines by revealing that she had pitched a segment in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky would appear through a livestream or pre-recorded video.

According to Variety', while walking the red carpet, her Oscar co-host Wanda Sykes shared that she had a very different opinion about Zelensky potentially appearing.
