Patrick Swayze's film 'Ghost' being adapted for small screen

Patrick Swayze's film 'Ghost' made in 1990 is heading to the small screen for a new television adaptation, according to reports.

Paramount Television has recruited television producers Jeff Pinkner and Akiva Goldsman, in order to co-write a pilot for the planned adaptation, Contactmusic reported.

The hit film, which starred Swayze as a ghost trying to avenge his death and protect his fiancee, played by Demi Moore, grossed more than 500 million dollars worldwide.
