Forsyth County Sheriff's Office issued a statement revealing that they received a burglary report around 1:30 am and learned that three intruders had broken into Woods' residence. "It was reported that three suspects had entered the home and were in the process of stealing items when an armed occupant fired at the intruders. The suspects fled the scene, and it does not appear that any of them were struck. No injuries were reported among the home’s occupants," the statement read.
Although no suspects were found following "a thorough investigation," the police noted, "While on scene, deputies detected a strong odour consistent with illegal narcotics. As a result, the Lanier Regional Drug Task Force was contacted and responded to the residence."
Police obtained a search warrant and, after searching the property, they reported finding "a significant amount of marijuana" in GloRilla's master bedroom closet. As a result, the singer and rapper was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. After voluntarily turning herself into custody, GloRilla was later released on a $22,260 bond.
