Singer Rihanna has gone public about the trauma she suffered at the hands of her estranged father.



The singer said her resentment towards her father stemmed back to her childhood - and there was one beating she will never forget, reports contactmusic.com.

"He slapped me so hard. I ran home with his handprint on me. I couldn't believe it. My mother saw my face, how traumatised I was," Rihanna told Rolling Stone magazine.
