Anything for Love - Cobie Smulders, Alyson Hannigan, and Neil Patrick Harris's real-life husbands all appeared on the show more than once. For instance, Lily's ex-boyfriend Scooter played by David Burtka is actually Barney's husband in real life while Sandy Rivers played by Alexis Denisof is Lily's husband in real life. The gang-dividing, wise-cracking, mostly un-likable Gary Blauman played by Taran Killam is actually married to Robin in real life.
The Kids knew their Mother all along - All of Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie's (the kids) scenes for the entire season were filmed during the first season, including the scenes from the finale episode which involved the mother.
