After starring in two summer majors, The Proposal and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the hottie has just landed the lead in another huge blockbuster! <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2009/jul/ryan.jpg" align="right" border="3" />Reynolds will star as the Green Lantern in the upcoming Warner Bros' live-action film based on the DC Comics hero, reports Variety. Actor Bradley Cooper and music star Justin Timberlake also did a screen test for the role of the superhero armed with a magical ring. The film will be headed by Casino Royale director Martin Campbell and starts production in January. Incidentally, a spinoff movie for Reynold's Wolverine character Deadpool is also in development.
