It's a historical night for Julia Louis Dreyfus as the actress took home the Screen Actors Guild award for Best Actress in a Comedy series, becoming the first TV actress to win five individual trophies. Louis-Dreyfus wasn't at the show, but presenters Connie Britton and Mandy Moore accepted the win on her behalf. Britton said, 'Julia, we're thinking of you, and we love you and we're happy to accept that actor on your behalf.'

This is Louis-Dreyfus' eighth SAG award, out of a total of 21 nominations. She previously won the honour last year for 'Veep' and again in 2012. 'Veep' was also the winner of the Screen Actors Guild Award for best television comedy. Meanwhile, William H. Macy won the SAG Award for best actor in a comedy series for his portrayal Frank Gallagher on 'Shameless'.
