Michael Douglas is very optimistic about his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, saying that separation doesn't mean the end of a marriage.

The ‘Basic Instincts’ star said on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ that he has been away for a while, but he is hopeful that everything between him and the 44-year-old actress would be “on the up and up”, the Mirror reported.
