London: Steve McQueen has revealed that he wants to thank his girlfriend Bianca Stigter for the success of his Oscar nominated film '12 Years A Slave'.

The director of 'Shame' said that it was his partner Stigter who had the idea and found the original book from 1853, the Daily Star reported.
