A decade ago, when Hollywood star Anne Hathaway first met director David Robert Mitchell, the meeting went so well that she expected a call from him for a project. That call finally came, albeit eight years later. “We had this wonderful connection, and I left that meeting thinking he is going to call and I’m going to work with him. He had said to me, ‘I have something that I want to send to you.’ Then I didn’t hear from him for eight years,” said Hathaway in an exclusive statement to mid-day.

That’s inarguably a long time, but the wait has been worth it. The actor, along with Ewan McGregor, leads Mitchell’s upcoming survival thriller The End of Oak Street. A script that Hathaway described as arriving “like a blast from the past”. “I had never read anything like it,” she stated.
