Movies have the ability to impact its audiences, and so do the dialogues. There are many such quotes from movies that have stood the test of time, and have become popular even among audiences who haven’t watched that particular scene.  Some of the finest dialogues in world cinema-like “May the Force be with you” from Star Wars or “Just keep swimming”  from the animated film Finding Nemo are etched in the minds of audiences, generation after generation. "May the Force be with you" - The Mandalorian 


A dialogue as epic as the franchise, “May the Force be with you” is so iconic that even people who are not fans of The Mandalorian know about it. Among modern youth, the phrase is popularly used to wish another good luck or good will. 


"Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary" -  Dead Poets Society

Another iconic dialogue from the hugely popular movie Dead Poets Society is "Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary." In the movie, English teacher John Keating, portrayed by actor Robin Williams, says these lines on the first day of classes which makes an impression on his students. 

"I'm the king of the world." - Titanic

One of the most iconic scenes in the timeless classic Titanic is when Jack and his best friend Fabrizio stand at the front of the big cruise ship, and admire the view. At this time, Leonardo Di Caprio’s character Jack says the words – “I’m the king of the world”, which is remembered by fans even after all these years.

“Being brave doesn’t mean you go looking for trouble.” - The Lion King (1994)

The ever-famous The Lion King is known for the values its dialogues carry. On a warm night as the father-son duo spend quality time together, Simba asks his father about his bravery. To this, Mufasa replies, “I'm only brave when I have to be, Simba. Being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble.”

“Just keep swimming.” - Finding Nemo

These words were spoken by the character Dory, voiced by famous talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in the animated movie Finding Nemo. Famous across the world, the phrase continues to be popular on social media, especially in memes.

Patrick Verona, portrayed by the late Heath Ledger says these words to Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) when has lost all hope of getting with a girl.

 "Hi, I'm Mark Watney and I'm still alive... obviously." - The Martian

The wry sense of humour in the Ridley Scott film makes it a pleasurable watch. One dialogue, an extremely important one at that, assuring the NASA team that he is alive and well, is when Mark Whatney says, “Hi, I'm Mark Watney and I'm still alive... obviously.”

 "The only person standing in your way is you. It's time to let her go. Lose yourself." - Black Swan

Black Swan is a gripping film that addresses complex and unsettling desires, jealousy and rage. One iconic dialogue from it was when Thomas Leroy told Nina, "The only person standing in your way is you. It's time to let her go. Lose yourself." 

 "You and I are such similar creatures, Vivian. We both screw people for money." - Pretty Woman

An immensely popular quote from an equally famous film, is also an important one. Set at the start of the film, Edward’s dialogue "You and I are such similar creatures, Vivian. We both screw people for money", describes the relationship between him and Vivian before he gets to know her. 

“To infinity and beyond!” - Toy Story

The birth of Pixar’s legacy was with Toy Story, the same film which carries one of the most memorable quotes of all time - “To infinity and beyond!”. Though it is Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase, it is also used by other characters in the movie.
