Timothee Chalamet recently won the Critics' Choice Awards 2026 for his role in the film Marty Supreme. During his acceptance speech, he gave a special shoutout to his girlfriend Kylie Jenner

Timothee Chalamet recently received the Best Actor honour for his performance in Marty Supreme. However, what caught everyone's eye was his sweet shoutout to his girlfriend. The 28-year-old thanked his longtime girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, after winning his first Critics Choice Award on Sunday. It marked his first Critics' Choice victory after four previous nominations.

Accepting the award, Chalamet praised Marty Supreme's director, producer, and co-writer, Josh Safdie. Talking about the film's emotional core, Chalamet said, "Josh, you made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream; you didn't preach to the audience about what's right and wrong, and I think we should all be telling stories like that. The Best Actor race at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards had some of the year's most powerful performances including Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent), of which Timothee Chalamet ultimately took home the honour for Marty Supreme.

He gave warm shoutouts to his fellow nominees, Michael B. Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Joel Edgerton and Wagner Moura, before he thanked Kylie Jenner in the audience.

Turning towards her, he said, "Thank you to my partner for three years. I love you. I couldn't do this without you." He added, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart." The camera captured Jenner's reaction as she smiled while clasping her hands beneath her chin as he spoke. She later mouthing back, "I love you," in response to Chalamet's sweet message.

Timothee Chalamet wins Best Actor

Chalamet won the Critics' Choice Award for his portrayal of aspiring ping-pong champion Marty Mauser in Marty Supreme. The role allegedly demanded both physical discipline and emotional vulnerability from the actor. His portrayal has been widely hailed as one of his most nuanced performances to date. 

Marty Supreme is a biographical sports drama set in 1950s New York City. The film narrates the story of Marty Mauser, a talented and determined table tennis player who chased his dream of becoming a champion. Chalamet's role draws inspiration from the real-life story of Marty Reisman, an American table tennis champion who was best known for his unconventional playing style and larger-than-life personality during the mid-20th century.
