London: Hollywood star Tom Cruise has sold his Beverly Hills mansion for USD 40 million, after slashing USD 5 million off the asking price.

The 53-year-old actor has offloaded his second Los Angeles home, less than a year after he sold his Hollywood Hills estate for USD 11.4 million, reported TMZ.
Cruise originally put the house, which he bought in 2007 for USD 32.5 million, on the market for USD 45 million but he slashed USD 5 million off the asking price in order to sell.
The property features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a children's playground and guesthouses.
