According Variety, the Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a call at around 9:30 am on Wednesday, June 3, in the West Valley area of Los Angeles. When they arrived, they discovered Handy unconscious in the front yard of the residence, suffering from a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics, where he was pronounced dead.
