Will Smith has scored a major legal victory after a judge dismissed a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by former tour violinist Brian King Joseph. The case, which had sparked significant attention earlier this year, was thrown out after the court ruled that the allegations were not legally sufficient to proceed.
A relief for Will Smith in the case
Brian King Joseph, a professional violinist who toured with Will Smith during his 2025 “Based on a True Story” tour, had accused the actor and his company, Treyball Studios Management, of sexual harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. According to court filings, Joseph alleged that Smith engaged in grooming behaviour and claimed a disturbing incident took place during the tour in Las Vegas.
