Lollapalooza India Day 1 was a banger, packed with electrifying performances, but Yungblud’s set stood out as one of the most emotional and high-energy moments of the night. Yungblud's first-ever performance in India at Lollapalooza turned into one of the most talked-about moments as he got teary-eyed witnessing the love from India. He also paid tribute to rock icon Ozzy Osbourne.

Yungblud breaks down while performing

The visuals showed the singer visibly moved, soaking in the love from Indian fans who sang along to every word. Fans flooded platforms with clips from the performance with the caption, "YUNGBLUD performing to 70k people in India for the first time."

Midway through the performance, Yungblud paused to speak directly to the crowd, opening up about his connection with the country. “India, I absolutely love you. Every time I come here, the love feels unreal,” he said.

“I promise I’ll keep coming back – I want to be here every single year,” he added, prompting the loudest cheer from the crowd.

His performance stood out for blurring the line between the stage and the audience. At one point, Yungblud stepped into the crowd while continuing to sing. One of the night’s most memorable moments unfolded when Yungblud noticed a banner from a young fan named Soham requesting a chance to play air guitar on stage. He invited the fan up, turning the spontaneous exchange into a standout highlight of the show.

The emotional high point came towards the end of the set when Yungblud paid tribute to rock icon Ozzy Osbourne. He closed his performance with a heartfelt rendition of Changes.

Yungblud says musicians are fans first

In an exclusive chat with ETimes, the singer insisted that musicians are fans first. He shared, “People forget that on stage I get to watch a show every night. People think they’re coming to see me. I come to see them, too. Musicians are fans first. I get to watch fathers and daughters or fathers and sons find something in common. I get to watch people kiss, friends turn to each other and say they love each other when they’d never normally say it. Music evokes emotion and fearlessness.”

Talking about Lollapalooza Day 2, it promises to be historic. All eyes are on Linkin Park, who are set to make their long-awaited India debut, alongside performances by Kehlani, LANY, Sammy Virji, Bloodywood, Calum Scott, Karsh Kale, OAFF–Savera, and more.
