It’s the month of BTS and ARMY! With six out of the seven members having completed their military service, the band is close to a grand reunion. While fans await SUGA’s discharge on June 21, he surprised them with a heartfelt voice message on BTS’s anniversary—his first since enlistment.
Suga sends voice message on BTS anniversary
In his voice note, Suga said, “Hello, this is SUGA. It feels like it’s been so long since I got to greet you. ARMY, have you all been doing well? I’ve been spending my time waiting for the day I get to see you again. I miss you so much. I love you, everyone.”
Suga, also known as Min Yoongi, is the only member left to complete his mandatory military service. This week alone, four members—Jimin, Jungkook, RM, and V—were discharged after completing their service.

When will Suga be discharged?
Due to a shoulder injury, Suga began his military service on September 22, 2023, and served as a public service worker instead of in active combat. He will be discharged on June 21, 2025. Considering his medical condition, he was assigned non-combat duties to fulfill the mandatory service.
What to expect from BTS's 12th anniversary celebration
The 12th-anniversary festivities began on May 31 and will conclude on June 29. Major highlights include solo concerts by J-Hope and Jin.
J-Hope has been performing since February and will hold his final two shows on June 13 and 14 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. The Hope on the Street tour began in Seoul and has traveled across the globe before returning to South Korea for its finale.
Ahead of the concert, J-Hope said,“The long journey is finally coming to an end. I think this is a stage where I’ve prepared a lot and will fully show what I’ve learned so far. I’m so grateful to be able to be with ARMY on this glorious day. I will work hard once again to create a concert where I do my best for my fans.”
He will also debut his new song “Killin’ It Girl” (feat. GloRilla), which features bold choreography and an addictive hip-hop sound. It’s expected to be one of the concert’s highlights.
