Actor Lee Ji-Hoon, who is facing domestic violence allegations, has issued a statement claiming no assault occurred. The actor was accused by his wife of physical assault following an argument on July 24

Actor and singer Lee Ji-Hoon, who grabbed headlines after being embroiled in a domestic violence allegation by his wife around a marital dispute, has issued a statement in this regard. The news started doing rounds on August 14, that a report was allegedly filed on July 24 about Lee Ji-Hoon assaulting his wife at their home in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province. According to reports, Lee tried to walk out of the house after a heated argument. When his wife tried to prevent him from leaving, it led to a physical altercation.

Lee has now broken his silence on the domestic violence allegation, clarifying that the incident started after a simple marital argument and that no assault was involved. A close associate of Lee told Dispatch, "There was light physical contact during a dispute between the couple. After the police arrived and assessed the scene, it was determined that this was not a serious matter, and no assault occurred. Lee Ji Hoon’s spouse has made it clear that she does not wish to pursue any charges, and the case is currently being closed. Both Lee Ji Hoon and his spouse are reflecting on the incident and are remorseful."



Meanwhile, Lee's agency, Y1 Entertainment, also issued an official press release, which read, "Today’s reports regarding the actor in his 40s refer to our talent, Lee Ji Hoon. During a marital dispute, the police were called to the scene by his spouse. After reviewing the statements and facts, it was determined that the incident was not serious. There was no assault, and the spouse has explicitly stated that she does not wish to press charges. The case is now being concluded. We sincerely apologise to the public for any concern this matter may have caused. Both Lee Ji Hoon and his spouse are reflecting on the situation with remorse."

Lee Ji Hoon first debuted as a KBS 20th batch actor back in 2003. He also featured in several films such as Chronicle of a Blood Merchant (2015), The Merciless (2017), I Can Speak (2017), Honey Sweet (2023), The Roundup: No Way Out 3 (2023), and The Roundup: Punishment 4 (2024).

He has also appeared in TV shows including Sassy Girl Chun-hyang (2005), Bread, Love and Dreams (2010), The Queen of Office (2013), Hospital Playlist 2 (2021), New Recruit Season 2 (2023), Korea–Khitan War (2023), and A Killer Paradox (2024).
