Tamil superstar Ajith's mother Mohini Mani has passed away at the age of 85 in Chennai. Her demise comes three years after her husband's death, who passed away at the same age. According to reports, she passed away due to age-related illness.

While Ajith is yet to put out any official statement, several well-known names have poured in their condolences. Reportedly, Ajith was in Dubai when his mother passed away and is currently on his way back. The last rites will be held in Chennai, state reports.
