Celebrations continue to pour in after the much talked about wedding of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, and one of the most heartfelt messages has come from Vijay’s younger brother, Anand Deverakonda. Following the couple’s intimate traditional ceremony in Udaipur on February 26, Anand officially welcomed Rashmika into the family, addressing her as his “Vadina.”

Anand Deverakonda pens a heartfelt note

Taking to social media, Anand shared a warm picture with the newlyweds and reflected on how fans had long used the term for Rashmika even before the wedding was confirmed. “There were so many times when fans would shout, ‘Vadina, ela unaru?’ and I never quite knew how to react,” he wrote, recalling those playful public moments.

Now that the relationship has been formalised, Anand expressed his happiness at gaining a sister in law he deeply admires. “Today, my brother is married, and I’ve gained the most positive and compassionate person as my Vadina,” he shared. Sending his blessings to the couple, he added, “I pray that for the rest of their lives, they continue to smile just like this. To a lifetime together!”

The wedding was reportedly an intimate affair attended by close family members and friends. While the couple has kept much of their relationship private over the years, their union has been warmly received by fans who have followed their journey closely.

Here's what Vadina means

The word “Vadina” holds cultural significance in Telugu families, symbolising affection and respect for an elder brother’s wife. Anand’s public acknowledgement struck an emotional chord with followers, many of whom had affectionately referred to Rashmika by the same title long before the wedding.

With Anand’s touching message, the celebrations feel even more personal. His words not only welcomed Rashmika into the Deverakonda family but also highlighted the warmth and unity that define this new chapter in their lives.

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda's love story isn't unknown to the fans. The duo kept it underwraps till they decided to tie the knot. However, they were always under speculation for their secret vacations and celebrations of their important days together.
