Filmmaker Atlee, one of the most influential and globally recognised directors to emerge from Indian cinema in recent years, has offered a tantalising update on his most awaited project, AA22xA6, starring star icon Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone.

Following the unprecedented international success of Jawan, which redefined the global reach of mainstream Indian cinema, Atlee is now deep into the creative process of what is being described as a large-scale, pan-Indian spectacle with global ambitions.

Speaking at a recent event, Atlee addressed the growing curiosity surrounding AA22xA6, acknowledging the anticipation while offering a glimpse into the intensity of the film’s development.

“Every day, we are discovering something. I am aware of how everyone wants to hear about the film. And honestly, more than my audience, I am really waiting to tell them everything. We are spending sleepless nights working on it. We are readying something really big for everyone. And once it’s done, trust me, everyone will enjoy it to the maximum,” he said.

The director’s statement has only amplified excitement across industries, as AA22xA6 marks the coming together of two cinematic powerhouses - Atlee, known for delivering emotionally charged, mass-appeal blockbusters, and Allu Arjun, whose screen presence and pan-India superstardom continue to transcend language barriers.

Industry insiders suggest that the film is being mounted on a large scale, with storytelling, visuals, and production values aimed at global audiences. Atlee’s consistent ability to blend emotional depth with high-octane spectacle has positioned him as a filmmaker who understands both the heartland pulse and international cinematic sensibilities.

As Atlee remains tight-lipped about further details, his assurance has been enough to convince fans and trade alike - something truly massive is in the making.

More about AA22xA6

Allu Arjun is playing four roles for the first time in his career in this film. He is playing the entire family tree. He will be seen as a grandfather, father, and two sons in the film, making it a quadruple role for Allu.

For the first time, fans will witness Rashmika as the negative lead. Rashmika, as the antagonist, will reportedly lock horns with Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur.

Atlee and Allu Arjun completed a 50-day shooting schedule in Mumbai in September, which included a dance sequence.

Deepika joined them for their second schedule in Abu Dhabi in October, where they filmed high-octane action sequences in the red dunes of the Liwa Oasis.
