National Award-winning Bengali filmmaker Anik Dutta has died after suffering serious injuries due to a fall from the terrace of his residence, according to reports. Anik had reportedly been living alone at his Kolkata residence for the past few months and was rushed to the hospital after falling from his terrace earlier on Wednesday.

Anik Dutta was reportedly residing at Kolkata’s Hindustan Park. On Wednesday, May 27, he fell from his terrace, after which he was rushed to a hospital near Dhakuria in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries within a few hours. According to reports, the filmmaker had also been battling respiratory issues for a long time.
