After redefining the superhero genre with HanuMan, filmmaker Prasanth Varma and RKD Studios have officially introduced the face of their next ambitious project, Mahakali. The makers unveiled Bhoomi Shetty as the titular lead with a striking first-look poster that has already ignited buzz across the industry. She was last seen in Vijay Deverakonda's Telugu film Kingdom earlier this year.

Currently over 50 percent complete, the film is being shot on a massive set in Hyderabad. In a bold move, the makers have placed their trust in a newcomer, reportedly investing a substantial budget despite the absence of an established star. Who is Bhoomi Shetty?
She is a resident of Kundapura in Karnataka and is an engineering graduate. Her acting career began with the Kannada television serial Kinnari, where she first caught the audience’s eye. She then appeared in the Telugu daily soap Ninne Pelladatha, which widened her reach across South India. In 2019, she participated in Bigg Boss Kannada Season 7, which brought her massive visibility and helped her connect with a wider audience.Bhoomi made her film debut with Ikkat (2021), a light-hearted Kannada comedy that became a success on Amazon Prime Video. She followed it up with roles in Sharathulu Varthisthai and Kingdom, steadily building her presence on the big screen.
