On Sunday evening, after wrapping the music composition of the film, MM Keeravaani took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the film. "Watched @LycaProductions Chandramukhi 2. The characters in the movie spend sleepless nights from fear of DEATH. for me 2 months of sleepless days and nights for adding LIFE to the mind-blowing scenes with my efforts. GuruKiran & my friend Vidyasagar pls wish me the best," he wrote.

The first part, 'Chandramukhi', was released in 2005. The film was based on the Malayalam film 'Manichitrathazhu' and starred Rajinkanth and Jyotika, Prabhu, Vadivelu and Nayanthara  in the lead. Directed by P Vasu, 'Chandramukhi 2' features Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Vadivelu, Raadhika, and Subhiksha among others. The shooting of the film was wrapped a few weeks back. The film is slated to release on Ganesh Chaturthi, which is observed on September 19.

In 'Chandramukhi 2' Kangana will portray the role of a dancer in the king's court, who was known for her beauty and dance skills.
