This time was no different! During the trailer launch of Idli Kadai in Coimbatore, a fan breached security and rushed onto the stage to hug the actor tightly. However, his calm reaction won hearts.
Dhanush’s fan breaks security
A video is currently going viral on social media, showing Dhanush giving a speech to his fans when an over-enthusiastic fan broke through security and ran onto the stage to hug him. The gesture left the Tamil actor surprised. The fan was thrilled to meet his favourite actor and kept hugging Dhanush for a long time. Security personnel rushed onto the stage to pull the fan away, resulting in a minor scuffle.

Dhanush handled the situation gracefully, instructing security to be careful with the fan. After calming everyone down, he asked his security to step back and even ensured the fan didn’t fall at his feet. The actor promised to give the fan a picture, and later, the fan hugged him once again. The video is going viral on social media, and netizens can’t stop reacting to it.
About Idli Kadai
Directed by Dhanush, Idli Kadai stars him in the lead role alongside Nithya Menen. The film also features Shalini Pandey, known for Maharaj. Dhanush and Nithya Menen previously worked together in the 2022 hit Thiruchitrambalam. The film is set to hit theatres on October 1.
The story follows Murugan (played by Dhanush), a young man passionate about building a career in hotel management. However, his dreams create a rift with his father, who runs a humble idli shack beloved by the community. When betrayal strikes, Murugan is forced to return home and defend his family's legacy.

The actor will also be seen in Tere Ishk Mein alongside Kriti Sanon. Production for the Aanand L. Rai directorial concluded in July. Described as a spiritual successor to Raanjhanaa, the film is scheduled for release on November 28, 2025. He was last seen in Kuberaa, co-starring Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh.
