Actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Vijay, is reportedly set to revisit his alleged last film, Jana Nayagan, which is yet to be released, days after assuming office. Vijay has also reportedly instructed Jana Nayagan producer Venkat K Narayana to return to Chennai from the Cannes Film Festival 2026 to focus on the film's release. Jana Nayagan has been held up after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and denied clearance since January 2026.

According to an India Today report, sources said that Vijay has asked producer KVN Productions' Venkat, who was attending the Cannes Film Festival, to return to Chennai. Following the instructions, Venkat is now heading back amid the latest developments around the film.
