Award-winning Malayalam filmmaker R Sarath, known for films such as Sayahnam, Sthithi and Sheelabathi, died at the age of 65 on Monday, September 7. The filmmaker passed away at a private hospital in Trivandrum while undergoing treatment for health-related ailments.

R Sarath passes away at 65

According to his relatives, Sarath’s funeral will be held at 5.30 pm on Monday at Santhikavadam in Trivandrum. He is survived by his wife and two sons. The FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) Directors’ Union condoled his death and expressed its condolences to his family and loved ones.
