'Natsamrat', helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar, was based on late poet VV Shirwadkar aka Kusumagraj's legendary Marathi play of the same name. Prakash remained unavailable while a source close to him confirms the story, saying, "Yes, Prakash has bought the rights to 'Natsamrat' and wants to direct it and act in it too. Currently, the script is being reworked to suit the sensibilities of the South audience and once things are finalised, an official announcement will be made."
