On the occasion of Nandamuri Balakrishna's birthday, the makers have released a new teaser of his upcoming film Akhanda 2, giving fans a first look at his role in the film. The film is scheduled to release on September 25.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to reunite with blockbuster director Boyapati Sreenu for their much-awaited fourth collaboration Akhanda 2: Thandavam. The film is a sequel to the mass hit Akhanda. The upcoming instalment promises to take the action, drama, and spiritual fervour to never-seen-before heights. The project is produced by Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the prestigious 14 Reels Plus banner, and is presented by M Tejeswini Nandamuri. On the occasion of Balakrishna’s birthday, the makers have now released the teaser on the eve of his birthday.

The teaser shows off Balakrishna’s awe-inspiring look as a fierce and divine avatar, capturing the essence of his character. Filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu once again establishes that he understands Balakrishna like no one else. The first look and teaser have got fans more excited about the star’s screen presence in the fierce avatar.


It features a visual of the Trishul, flanked by Nandi, while being set against the snow-capped backdrop of Kailasam. The breathtaking visuals with spiritual symbolism are like no other. The teaser reflects the deep research and thought that have gone into shaping this film’s unique tone. Besides, Balakrishna’s powerful walk adds an emotion of majesty. Similarly, the scenes where he hurls goons aside and the intense Trishul-neck shot have elevated the buzz. Action choreographers Ram-Lakshman have brilliantly used Balakrishna’s mass appeal to leverage the intensity of the action sequences.

Meanwhile, Thaman’s background score takes the visual experience to a whole new level. The production values by 14 Reels Plus are also top-tier, adding scale and grandeur to every frame. This teaser reflects the passion and commitment of the team.

About Akhanda 2: Thandavam

Akhanda 2 is currently being shot in the scenic areas of Georgia. A major sequence is reportedly underway. The makers also announced that the film will release in theatres across India on September 25, marking the occasion of Dussehra.

Akhanda 2: Thandavam stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Samyuktha in the lead as Aadhi Pinisetty plays the main antagonist. The film is directed by Boyapati Sreenu and produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. The music is composed by S. Thaman, while the cinematography is headed by C. Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detake. Tammiraju has edited the team, action is choreographed by Ram-Lakshman, while A.S. Prakash has handled the art direction.
