The actress's glamorous and sizzling avatar grabbed everyone's attention. Besides, its peppy lyrics and tune have also set everyone grooving. It seems that the song has crossed borders, as it was recently revealed that Italian actress Monica Bellucci has watched the song. Notably, in the song, lyricist Vishnu Edavan has made a reference to the actress' name, Monica Bellucci.
Pooja Hegde reacts to Monica Bellucci approving her song
Recently, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Pooja Hegde was told that the Italian actress has watched the song and that she has 'loved it'. The host, Anupama Chopra, revealed sending the song Monica to Melita Toscan, who is a friend of Monica Bellucci and stating that the latter "loved it".
Reacting to the news, Pooja said, “That’s the biggest compliment ever. I’ve actually really loved Monica Bellucci. She’s so iconic in her own way for her persona. She didn’t need to do much; she has such a unique voice and style. I’m glad she liked it. A lot of Tamil fans were commenting on her Instagram, asking her to watch the Coolie song.”
The actress further acknowledged fans' contributions in making the song's reach viral, saying, "I believe a lot of people were commenting on her Instagram, and a lot of Tamil fans were saying, 'Please go watch Coolie's song.'"

The three-minute-34-second-long song is filmed in a port area, wherein Pooja is seen shaking a leg in the high-energy number with background dancers atop a cargo ship. The song had emerged as a chartbuster in less than a day of its release and had instantly become a trend. Sun Pictures had also earlier revealed that the song had already garnered a whopping 21 million views. While the Tamil version had received over 15 million views, the Telugu version of the song had received over five million views, while the Hindi version had received over a million views.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared BTS clips of the song shoot, and wrote, "Thank you for all the love on Monica. Monica was one of the MOST physically toughest and demanding song of my career." She went on to say, "Trying to combat the extreme heat, sun burn that's left tan lines for months to come.... humidity, the dust, blisters and high energy dance moves (my first hectic dance shoot after my ligament tear).. and after all that, still making sure it looks glamourous and effortless was the key. I gave my all to Monica and it's gonna be a blast to watch in the theatres, I promise. Dance away."
