Actor Prakash Raj has come out strongly in support of actor-turned-politician Vijay after his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single-largest party in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
TVK won 108 seats in the 234-member Assembly but fell short of the majority mark by 10 seats. Following the results, Vijay reportedly requested the state Governor to invite him to form the government, assuring that he would prove his majority on the floor of the House within two weeks. However, the Governor is said to have asked Vijay to first demonstrate majority support before staking claim.
